Chiropractic Care

Our Approach

At Renaissance Family Chiropractic our doctors provide advanced spinal correction utilizing the  Blair Method. This approach allows them to provide a level of help and expertise that has never been available in the history of chiropractic. These newer methods for correction are gentle, more comfortable, more precise, and much more effective than ever before; no twisting, turning, or bending of the spine required. Our chiropractors also offer soft tissue manual therapy, Graston, and cold laser therapy.

The Blair Technique

The Blair chiropractic technique is a specific system of analyzing and adjusting the upper four cervical vertebrae of the spinal column. These vertebrae misalign in such a way as to interfere with the brain stem and spinal cord as they exit through the floor of the skull and into the neural canal. Special attention is given to the first two cervical vertebrae, the atlas and axis, as they are the most freely moveable vertebrae in the spinal column and the ones most commonly misaligned.

The purpose of the Blair Chiropractic technique is not to diagnose or treat diseases or conditions, but to analyze and correct vertebral subluxations in an accurate, precise and specific manner to allow the body's intelligence, to mend, repair and maintain health from within.

The Blair technique utilizes chiropractic neurological tests, heat sensitive instrumentation and other means for detecting when the vertebral subluxation is present or absent. The Blair adjustment is administered only when nerve pressure is present. The Blair technique utilizes precise x-rays of the upper cervical area to determine which way the vertebrae has misaligned so that a precise and specific adjustment may be tailored and administered to that individual.

The Webster Technique

Dr. Bucasas loves to work with expecting mothers and is ICPA certified in The Webster Technique. Chiropractic care in pregnancy is vital to the normal physiological function of both the mother and baby throughout pregnancy and birth. More women and birth providers are discovering the many benefits associated with chiropractic care in pregnancy and recognize this area of expertise through Webster Certification.

The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction. In doing so, neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is facilitated.

Sacral subluxation may contribute to difficult labor for the mother (i.e., dystocia), caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and baby mal-presentation. Correction of sacral subluxation may have a positive effect on all of these causes of dystocia.
